Atlantic Patrol Tasking North

The Royal Navy is committed to maintaining a constant presence in the North Atlantic and Caribbean. Why? To protect the interests of the United Kingdom and the British Overseas Territories in the region.

What are we doing?

HMS Dauntless has been deployed to the Caribbean to provide reassurance and support to British Overseas Territories and Commonwealth countries during the high-risk hurricane period, reaffirming the UK’s commitment.

Dauntless is well prepared and ready to support the Caribbean for Counter Illicit Trafficking Operations as well as humanitarian aid and disaster relief.

In the event of a natural disaster, HMS Dauntless would be the first to the scene to restore vital infrastructure and services, such as roads, electricity and running water, to communities devastated by hurricanes and other natural disasters.
