Members of the Falmouth Royal Naval Association (RNA) recently visited RFA Tiderace at Falmouth Docks.

RFA Tiderace is currently completing a detailed customisation and enhancement package before entering service with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary later this year, prior to being deployed on operations alongside the Royal Navy.

Third Officer Steven McCubbin RFA, welcomed the RNA Falmouth personnel team on board and accepted the RNA Falmouth Pennant, presented by secretary of the RNA Carol Wright.

Following tea/coffee and biscuits in the Officers Lounge, they were taken on a ship’s tour of this new state of the art RFA vessel and were particularly impressed with the hangar and the size of the flight deck.

Before their departure Carol commented, “I would like to thank RFA Tiderace ship’s staff for the warm welcome and hospitality the RNA Falmouth team has received throughout todays extremely enjoyable and informative visit."
