Experience an unforgettable evening with Her Majesty’s Royal Marine Band

Music-lovers are being given the chance to see and hear the world-famous Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Collingwood at two concerts to be held at the Base later this month.

The Band has been extremely busy recently, undertaking many prestigious and high-profile events, including performing at the Tower of London and marching past some of the Capital’s most iconic backdrops in the Graspan Memorial Parade for the Royal Marine Association.

The Band has also proved their versatility by supplying a Jazz Ensemble to entertain guests at the recent wedding reception of HRH Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in a line-up that also included Sir Elton John!

Just days later, they were part of a 220-strong massed band performing at the Ceremony of Beating the Retreat on Horse Guards Parade, attended by the First Sea Lord, Commandant General and HRH Prince William.

The public now have the opportunity to hear these world-renowned and highly respected musicians before they are due to play at the Queen’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace later in the summer.

They will play pieces from their huge and varied repertoire at two concerts to be held at HMS Collingwood in Fareham on 20th and 21st June.

These will be Director of Music Major Ian Davis’ last local performances before he goes on draft and he’s planning to pull out all the stops!
