New Captain aims to hit all the right notes

The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Collingwood have just enjoyed two very successful local concerts under the direction of Captain Tom Crane Royal Marines.

The concerts took place in HMS Collingwood’s Millennium Hall. An exciting debut and programme saw the new Director of Music aim to win both the hearts and approval of the discerning local audience.

The band have just returned from the Avenches Tattoo in Switzerland and are gearing up for numerous high profile engagements.

These will include an International Maritime Review in South Korea and accompanying the First Sea Lord to Chile to perform for the Chilean Navy’s Bicentennial Celebrations where the band will promote Global Britain.

There will also be a chance to see the band perform on the Lord Mayor’s Parade in London as well as performing in Portsmouth Guildhall over Remembrance weekend.

With Captain Crane RM at the helm the busy period ahead promises to be an exciting time for the band.
