There is just over a week to go before thousands of people will be wowed by incredible flying displays at the Royal Navy International Air Day.
Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, in Somerset, is hosting the event which will feature fast jets, historic warbirds, helicopters and formation aerobatic teams.
On Saturday, July 13 thousands of families are expected to visit the base and see some rare and exciting aircraft take to the skies including the Harrier jets the state-of-the-art F-35B Lightning fighter jets and the Red Arrows.
In a first for a UK airshow, the Royal Canadian Air Force will be doing a flypast with their CC-130J Hercules – a 112ft-long, four-engine, fixed-wing turboprop aircraft that can carry up to 92 combat troops.
Then, for a thrilling finale, Royal Marines will take part in a pyrotenic-filled assault alongside the Commando Helicopter Force.
As well as the air displays, a number of aircraft and helicopters will be on show around Yeovilton including military transport aircraft from America, Qatar, Germany and Italy.
There will also be a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (Stem) zone with free interactive activities for children along with stalls, arena displays, music from military bands, simulators and fairground rides.
