What were we doing?

Six ships from across the Royal Navy’s fleet took part in the exercise. HMS Northumberland and HMS Westminster worked in the north of Norway, practising anti-submarine warfare drills and proving their capability within a multinational task group.

Meanwhile, HMS Enterprise led four mine countermeasures vessels (HMS Hurworth, HMS Cattistock, HMS Ramsay and HMS Grimsby) in the south of Norway, practising their diving and mine clearance capabilities, including using their remotely operated ‘Sea Fox’ mine disposal robot.

Exercise Trident Juncture is a clear and unambiguous demonstration of just why we must stand shoulder to shoulder with our NATO allies.
