HMS Echo's role

HMS Echo plays a vital role in a wide variety of operations, providing the vital oceanographic, hydrographic and bathymetric data needed to make each one a success. She has her own motorboat – Sapphire – which can operate independently, allowing small teams to work ashore, often in support of Royal Marines Commandos.

Designed specifically to have precise manoeuvrability, HMS Echo can work in the most challenging conditions and in any environment.
