Hang gliding and paragliding

Whether you're just getting into the sport and need help starting off or you're a more advanced pilot looking to hone your skills, you can soar with aerial sports.

Royal Navy Hang Gliding and Paragliding

Aligned with the UK governing body for the sport, we'll support you to soar to the levels you want to achieve. Committed to boosting more RN personnel to join the exciting world of aerial sports, we can help you fly at a local club, attend hang gliding and paragliding recreational and competitive events, and fly at international level.

Joining us also means you can get free pilot courses, typically costing more than £1,000 for a full course.

We work in tandem with the Adventurous Training paragliding training centres in Bavaria and the Brecon Beacons and cater for all abilities.

Get involved

With all levels of experience encouraged to join us, you can complete two free training courses in either the Welsh Valleys or Bavarian Alps. After that, you'll be free to soar wherever your wings take you, join us on several trips through the year, and go from simply flying for fun to taking part in regional events and even Inter-Service competitions.

If you're interested to get up, up and flying and to get involved, just get in touch.
